     SMARTER TYRES USING ADVANCED SENSORS FOR IMPROVED SAFETY


 A vacancy exists for a Research Assistant to work on an industrially led
project aimed at establishing sensor technology for monitoring of tyre
performance in road vehicles. The research will involve finite element
analysis of dynamic tyre behaviour and the analysis of data from experiments
conducted on tyres with sensors.

 The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council funded post is for a
fixed period of three years and the starting salary will be in the range:
£16,286 - £18,185.
