As I understand, you want to plot contours by using Abaqus/Post
In my view, the post is really not user friendly. One way is using some
third party post processing package, like Ideas, FEMAP, etc. Another way
is to write a code yoursel, like in Matlab. You can just output both
Abaqus result and yours to some ascii file. get the coordinate data
also. Then you can compare these results in any way you like. It is not
too hard to do this in Matlab.
