AIRCRAFT RESEARCH ASSOCIATION
(www.ara.co.uk)

PROJECT SUPERVISOR IN COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS

Circa £17,000 - £23,000 dependent on experience
plus good benefits package, including pension and private medical
insurance

Aircraft Research Association Limited is an independent non-profit
research and
development organisation specialising in wind tunnel testing and
complementary services
for the aerodynamic design cycle.

Computational Fluid Dynamics is a key part of these support
services and the ARA team
has gained international recognition for its development and
application of codes designed
to predict flow around complex geometries, and for performing
aerodynamic research in
areas such as flow control and transition prediction.

As one of our Project Supervisors you will be responsible for the
management of specific
projects from proposal to completion within set time and cost
constraints. Additionally
you may be required to publish work at conferences and/or in
journals.

To be successful you will need a degree or equivalent in Applied
Mathematics,
Aeronautical Engineering or Physics and ideally have some
experience in CFD methods
preferably in an aerodynamic research environment.

Additionally you will be able to demonstrate the ability to work within
a team
environment. Knowledge of Project planning processes together
with the ability to make
effective presentations would be beneficial.

Interested candidates should write with full CV including current
salary and with a
statement outlining how you meet the requirements indicated to: -
Mrs Jo Dullingham,
Personnel Manager, Aircraft Research Association Limited, Manton
Lane, Bedford,
MK41 7PF. Closing Date: 10th March 2000
