Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how Abaqus actually calculates temperature dependance. For instance I have a 2D
thermally uncoupled analysis with temperature dependant elastic modulus and thermal expansion. The
manuals say that Abaqus interpolates linearly between properties given at various temperatures when
these temperatures are entered in increasing order.
I have a 1D analytical solution to the problem which I've made temperature dependant. The
difference between the fixed property and temperature dependant solution in Abaqus is much bigger
than the difference generated by the simpler 1D solution.
Both solutions interpolate properties linearly so why does Abaqus come out with such a bigger
difference than the simpler 1D solution?
Has anyone had a similar experience.
