Hello Takahide
It seems from what you've said about 'concrete' that you need to stop
reading and try practicing. If you want concrete procedures you could
do no worse than getting some transcripts and trying to do it
yourself. I have been teaching an MA student recently about QDA
and coding for themes using some short focus group data and
teaching it to him brings your case to mind; he is a Taiwanese doctor
doing a Master in Health.
If you undertsnad the basic principles of finding themes by reading
and analysing your transcripts and looking for recurrent ideas that
people talk about in relation to the general topic of your study, doing
this with a practice set is a great idea. You could also look at the
NUD*IST software site for further ideas about how to facilitate this
process; there are soem papers and even tutorial work on their site. I
am happy for any further contact on your progress if that helps nbut
maybe someone else can do better.
