Dear Colleagues,
My name is Wim Heijs; and I'm conducting contract research in the field
of environmental psychology at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
I have the following problem, on which I would ask your advice.
A manifacturer of household cleaning appliances (vacuum cleaners etc) asked
an interesting question, possibly a subject for future research:
what constitutes the perception and evaluation of cleanliness in the home?
I've been looking for previous research, but sofar this turned up nothing.
There maybe parralels to the evaluation of thermal comfort and air quality
but in this case the main concern is with the cleanliness of surfaces, which
of course depends on the material, knowledge of the material, previous
experiences and so on...
I would be grateful for any suggestions regarding existing literature and/or
variables and methods to tackle the above question.
Regards,
Wim Heijs
