Folks,
Neither Forestry nor Agriculture have clean hands re the environment. There
are many forestry people, past & present, who have been serious advocates of
environmental protection. And there have been many agricultural people who
have done the same thing. For instance, Hugh Hammond Bennett in the first
half of the last century.
There have been folks in every walk of life who have had that same caring
attitude. And there have been many folks in every walk of life who have
just seen the world we live in as fodder for our own individual selfish
interests.
