Subject: Re: Global Warming and Arctic Birds
Some one has me quoted as saying there are more Adelie Penquins in
Antarctica. That must have been an error! The species that I referred to is
declining due to a retreat of edge associated with shelves dissappearing.
The stuborn pequins cannot compete with another species and as a result
remain in unsuitable nesting areas subject to snowfalls also associated with
heavier snowfalls due to climate change.
