Steady state? How pray tell are we to achieve this? A steady state will
only occur in a dynamic system that is NOT subject to stochastic shocks.
A system that is subject to stochastic shocks will not settle on a given
point, but will move around.
Heck even a deterministic system (one not subject to stochastic shocks)
need not have a steady state. The system may cycle over a series of
points or become "chaotic", or may even become explosive.
And even if we have a steady state, it is not clear that the steady state
is sustainable.
As for a definition of capitalism, why not work with a market economy.
That is where individuals and firms engage in voluntary and mutually
advantageous exchange given a variety of constraints. At least this one
is free of prejudicial language.
As for Sustainable Development I posted a link to an article on this
previously. However, I don't think you will like it.
