Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Engineering Geology
Applicants are invited for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer which will
become vacant with the retirement of the Mr. A.C. Lumsden. The appointment
may be at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, dependent on qualifications,
professional and research experience. Applicants with professional
experience and a good publication record are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will join the engineering geology group and will
play a full part in teaching and research activities of the School, with
special responsibilities for MSc teaching in Engineering Geology and related
areas. The appointee will play a major administrative and strategic role in
the running of the MSc Engineering Geology Course. Good interpersonal and
communication skills are essential.
The School of Earth Sciences has an outstanding international reputation and
was awarded grade 5 for research and excellent for teaching in the last UK
assessment exercise.
