Hi all,
I am writing the final draft of a Technical Commentary on Geotechnical
Characterisation for the International Guidelines for the Seismic Design of
Port Structures (WG34 of PIANC, chaired by Susumu Iai, PHRI, Japan).
It is needed to address the possible use of field geophysical tests in the
sea-floor characterisation. If I remember well, some investigation on the
use of SASW (Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves) underwater was carried out
at University of Texas since early '90s. But I don't know of any
application of borehole tests such as Cross-hole and Down-hole for such
purpose.
Does anyone know if there is some well-documented experience (personal
knowledge or papers) that can I refer to in this field?
Bless you all,
Francesco
