Official Fellowship In Economics, Nuffield College, Oxford, UK
Following the resignation of Richard H. Spady, Nuffield College proposes to
appoint, with effect from 1st October 2000, an Official Fellow in Economics.
Official Fellowships are comparable with research professorship in other
universities, and form a central component of the permanent research and
teaching establishment of the College. The duties of an Official
Fellows are to engage in research and to supervise graduate students; an
established research record is essential.
The current holders of Official Fellowships in Economics at Nuffield College
are Mark Armstriong, Meg Meyer, John Muellbauer and Neil Shephard. Other
economists with permanents positions at Nuffield College are Tony Atkinson,
Chris Bliss, David Hendry, Paul Klemperer, Adrian Pagan, Kevin Roberts and
Hyun Shin. In addition the college has around 16 research fellows in
economics. Of these Steven Bond, Jurgen Doornik, Bent Nielsen, Richard
Spady and Tina Rydberg work mostly on econometric problems.

Thanks
Neil.
