The trouble is many students do stray from the
recommendations outlined in the needs assessment. The
temptation to get a free digital camera and what appears to
be a better computer spec' from a large supplier can easily
lead them astray. Most will happily listen to their
"expert" friends rather than ourselves. Furthermore many
LEAs are very lax indeed when it comes to obtaining proof
of purchase from the student. It seems to be one admin job
too far for many.
