UK Training workshops

USA Training workshops

Brief description: One-day, hands-on workshop taking you through the

Tuesday 12th - Thursday 14th  September 2000. Swansea, UK.
OR42, Operational Research in the 21st Century: Communications and 
Knowledge Management.
We will be sharing a stand at the OR conference with Scolari, Sage 
Publications Software, one of our resellers. If you are at this 
conference and would like to talk to us about Decision Explorer please 
come and visit the stand.

Friday 29th - Saturday 30th September 2000, London, UK
Strategies in qualitative research: issues and results from analysis 
using QSR N-Vivo and NUD*IST
The Institute of Education, University of London announces its second 
international conference bringing together researchers conducting 
qualitative projects or teaching with the software developed by 
Qualitative Solutions and Research. Latest details are on the 
Institute's website at 
http://www.ioe.ac.uk/conference_news/Codiary.htm#Strategies. A special 
feature will be comparisons and debates on the latest developments in 
NUD*IST and N-Vivo and sessions on linking them with other software, 
(Decision Explorer, Inspiration, SPSS and other statistical packages) 
and the new techniques of integrating data of different types in 
substantive projects.

3. FREE "TASTER" EVENTS

UK "Taster" events (FREE 2 hour sessions giving an introduction to 
Decision Explorer … not a substitute for training!)

Date: Thursday 28th September
Commercial users Come & See Day. Sessions 9.30am - 11.30am, 
12.00-2.00pm and 4.00pm to 6.00pm
Venue: Sage Publications, 6, Bonhill Street, London. UK
Brief description: A free event for an audience of managers and 
management consultants. Three short sessions repeated throughout the 
day, where practitioners are invited to come and talk about and try out 
Decision Explorer.
 
Date: Friday 29th September
Academic users Come & See Day. Sessions 9.30am - 11.30am, 12.00-2.00pm 
Venue: Sage Publications, 6, Bonhill Street, London. UK
Brief description: A free event for an audience of lecturers, research 
students and researchers. . Two sessions repeated during the day, where 
you are invited to come and talk about and try out Decision Explorer.

5. DECISION EXPLORER NEWSLETTER

The Summer 2000 edition of the Decision Explorer Newsletter was 
published and distributed at the start of July. The Newsletter is FREE! 
It is automatically sent to anyone who has purchased Decision Explorer 
and for whom we have a valid mailing address and to anyone who has 
registered an interest. Back copies of the Newsletter can be found on 
our web site. We also have some spare copies of the few issues of the 
Newsletter, so if you would like a hardcopy (rather than downloading it 
from the web) please let us know.
