OOPS-147
E-speak Service Framework Specification (SFS)
Gerry Winsor, Hewlet-Packard
E-speak is an open platform designed specifically for the development,
deployment and intelligent interaction of e-services. It allows e-services
to communicate freely and dynamically with each other and underpins the
creation of a services marketplace where the interaction between buyers and
sellers is governed by market-makers, infrastructure services and how
offered services operate and interact.
This talk will provide a description of the e-speak technology and describe
the solution scenarios in which e-speak will play a major role in the
future, with an emphasis on B2B service economies. The software topology,
backend integration of legacy systems and service intermediation aspects of
e-speak solutions will also be presented.
Gerald Winsor is the Expert Center Manager in HP's E-speak Operation. He is
responsible for managing a team delivering Consulting and Training on HP's
innovative e-speak technology, an open software platform specifically
designed for the development, deployment and intelligent interaction of
e-services. Gerald has considerable practical experience designing e-speak
enabled e-services, having consulted extensively with various companies who
are deploying e-speak enabled Portals.
Gerald has worked in the computer industry for over twenty years, occupying
various roles within Hewlett-Packard, as a Software Developer, Consultant
and Product Marketing Manager. Most recently he was responsible for the
product direction and planning for HP's HP-UX Operating System. Prior to
that he was a Telecommunication Consultant within HP Consulting, consulting
with various major European Telecommunication Operators.
