WORKPLACE BASIC SKILLS NETWORK
The Workplace Basic Skills Network is based at CSET, the Centre for the
Study of Education and Training at Lancaster University. It was established in
1995 and is now funded by the DfEE as a response to the Government's commitment
to raising the levels of adult basic skills in the UK.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, WORKPLACE BASIC SKILLS TRAINING NETWORK

An adult education professional is required to work closely with the
Network's Professional Development team and with members of the Professional
Development working group (regional practitioners). You will assist with the
design and delivery of professional development programmes for basic skills
tutors around the UK, with on-line development and delivery, and with quality
assurance and research activities.
You will be an experienced adult educator with an adult teaching
qualification and a graduate or postgraduate level qualification in education.
The Workplace Basic Skills Training Network is a national organisation and the
appointee will be required to travel within the UK. This post is fulltime for 1
year in the first instance.
Start salary: ?19,869 - ?21,597 p.a.

PROJECT ASSISTANT (COMMUNICATIONS/CO-ORDINATION) .
A well organised person is required to take on the organisation of the
Network's programme of seminars, events and meetings, ensure the accuracy of
Network membership records and provide clerical/secretarial support for the
Network's Communications/Coordination Manager. This post is for one year in the
first instance.
Salary: ?11,689 - ?13,532 p.a.

PART-TIME PROJECT ASSISTANT (DATABASE AND WEBSITE ADMINISTRATION).
A methodical person with good communication skills, excellent knowledge
and experience of using and manipulating databases using Access, and knowledge
of web page maintenance, is required to work closely with the Network team to
ensure that Network databases and website reflect the organisation's varied
needs. This post is for one year in the first instance.
Salary: ?11,689 - ?13,532 pro-rata p.a.
