2000 Conference

After tremendously successful SIHI Conferences in 1998 and 1999, we are
hoping that this year's will be even bigger and better.
The Conference will be held in Portsmouth on Thursday 14th September and we
would like to invite you to participate. The venue is the historic Park
Building, centrally located next to Portsmouth Guildhall and conveniently
situated whether you are arriving by car or train.
The themes of the conference include:
Telemedicine
Electronic patient records / electronic healthcare records
Use of the Internet in healthcare
Primary care computing
Using technology to bridge the primary/secondary care divide
Standards
Developments in new information and communication technologies
Medical imaging
Local implementation strategies
ICT and the professions allied to medicine
but other topics relevant to health informatics are also welcomed.
The conference will consist of a number of keynote speakers, oral and
poster presentations and workshops. Vendors will be able to exhibit their
products and services.
