Focus on Health - Emphasis on Management
Imperial College is pleased to announce a new MSc in Health Management.
The Programme will commence in October 2000 and is designed for health
professionals and managers who are working, or intend to work in health
systems.
The new programme is international in its? orientation and involves faculty
from the Management School, the School of Medicine, the Health Policy Unit,
and the Centre for Biological and Medical Systems. The Programme is designed
to ensure that all areas relevant to relevant management are covered whilst
maintaining a strong focus on health. The Programme has a strong emphasis
on theory and practice, and an emphasis on teaching and learning to aid
development of both the conceptual and practical skills. The core modules
of the programme cover the main functional elements of management, consider
specific health sector implications and sharpen research skills.
The Programme is one year full-time or two years part-time. The participants
will usually be expected to have a minimum of 2-3 years work experience but
for exceptional candidates this may be waived.
