Ahmed,
For fortran90 for linux I use the compilers from Portland Group,
Inc. They have a product called PGI Workstation 3.2 which includes
compilers for fortran90, C++, C, and HPF along with good documentation
and a debugger. I have used these products for a year and a half
both on my own linux pc and on bigger machines at the Ohio Supercomputer
Center. I have found that the compilers do a very nice job, having
noted very few instances of compiler problems [as oppposed to user-generated
problems].
