Some subprograms of mine containing statements of the form
USE <module>, <local-name> => <name-in-module>
compiled with the current Sun Forte compiler produced obscure
compile-time error messages of the form
FrogWallow Interface Error:
fwUserName: 2nd try at user name, hdl=(var249)
Error arises from fw call #35675 (fwUserName)
Error detected within Egret at idbg.c:157, last src=../src/ewald.F90:492
I learn from Sun that the current Forte compiler cannot cope with USE
statements of this sort, and the advice is to avoid this construction
until the next release of the compiler is issued "later this year".
