This is not correct. We fully support building multithreaded applications
with Compaq Visual Fortran, and provide extensive documentation and several
examples of doing so. We know of no issues relating to use of the stack
during exceptions. You must specify when you build the application that you
are using threads by means of the /threaded command line switch or the
appropriate checkbox under Settings..Fortran..Libraries.
With Compaq Visual Fortran, you can also use Visual KAP or Visual KAP for
OpenMP to automatically parallelize your application. These are separate
products sold by Kuck and Associates (http://www.kai.com/visualkap)
