Thanks, I found out about this; I should've said that the idea is to
avoid having to recompile the libraries for use with f95 (either with g77
-fno-second-underscore or Lahey f95 itself), so that one can have just one
set of libaries which are link-compatible for both g77 and f95. I guess
I'm being lazy, but maybe Lahey could incorporate this behavior without
breaking anything else? Hey, I paid for their software, so at least I can
ask them for a (hopefully) small extra feature!
