Yes, RedHat did change libc incompatibly between 5.2 and 6.0, which is why,
for our Linux Alpha compiler (which you really should be using - it's a
violation of your license terms to take images built on Tru64 UNIX to Linux)
has two variants of the Run-Time Library kit, one for RH5.2 and one for
RH6.0.
I suggest you get our Linux Alpha compiler - it's free for personal and
