This form is allways allowed, whether the continuation line contains
strings or not. The first & is required, the second is usually
optional. It is mandatory if the STRING ITSELF is continued. However,
in the first example above, there are TWO SEPARATE STRINGS, so the one
required &, the first one, should be all that is needed.
