I would certainly agree that [] around array subscripts would
add no additional functionality to the language, but it would
provide clarity for the user.
After all, the language is written once and used ad nauseum
*no pun intended*
It is precisely for this reason that several languages have
already adopted this practice e.g. Modula-2 and C etc..
