No you're not. I've been seeing duplicate messages ever since
the list moved, but typically with one of each copy having the
original sender's address in the From: field, and in the other(s)
some other _arbitrary_ sender's address in the From: field
(arbitrary in that the "other" address is not correlated with the
current message, but not arbitrary in that the "other" has recently
posted to the list).
In addition, I've seen duplicates of messages from one "thread"
crossing into another. That is, _both_ the From: and the Subj: are
unrelated to the body of the message, but that body has appeared
correctly with a different Subj: and From:.
The list _is_ having problems!
BTW, I prefer having the original sender's address in the From:
field. If I want to post/reply to the list, I just copy from the
To: field. Just a personal preference, but I like to know up-front
who's "talking". In addition, not everyone puts a proper ".sig" in
their message and it's a pain to sort through the SMTP headers
looking for the original From: line...
