Apparently, you are not the only one, but there are certainly some of use
that are not, so I suggest a detailed comparison of the headers on those
two copies to see how they differ.

Is there any chance that you might have subscribed to comp-fortran-90 using
two different, but similar, addresses?  For example, I am both
"[log in to unmask]" and "[log in to unmask]".  If I subscribe to
a list using both addresses, I could receive either 1 copy or 2, depending
on how the list is implemented:  if the reflector contacts atmos.uiuc.edu
and tells it "deliver this message to hirchert and resadmin", my local
machine will recognize that hirchert and resadmin are the same person and
deliver the message only once, but if the reflector first contacts
atmos.uiuc.edu and tells it "deliver this message to hirchert" and later
contacts it and tells it "deliver this message to resadmin", I will get two
copies.  If mailbase used the former method and jiscmail the latter, that
would explain why you only started getting two copies after the switch.

It just occurred to me that I could look at the list definition at
www.mailbase.ac.uk.  They only give names, not addresses, but the name "Van
Snyder" does appear twice, so I suspect you really were subscribed twice.
