I guess that I was not able to make myself quite clear. I'll try to make myself
more clear:
The mails from the list should have a "Reply to:" header which should contain
the address of the list. This list, as of now, doesn't have such a facility.
The consequence is that while replying to a message I get the option:
- Reply to all recipients
If I acceept, then the mail will be sent to the sender, and (cc)'d to the list.
But, say, if I want to send the mail only to the list (as any mail sent to the
list will obviously reach the person to whose mail you're replying), then I need
to manually remove the name from the To: field and move the list address from
the CC: field to the To: field.
If there is a "Reply to:" header that contains the list address, then I'll have
the option of replying to only the list, if I so desire.
p.s. It was a very simple thing that I'd said, but seemed to be real hard to
follow. You can. for instance, browse the archives of turbulence mailing list
<[log in to unmask]>. The messages sent that arrive through the list
contain a "Reply to:" header that includes the mailing list address.
