The UK Children and Media Network aims to foster thinking, to inform policy
and provide a central focus for the publication and dissemination of
research in the field. Following some activities a few years back, the
Network has been rather dormant. We are now seeking to revive it, at least
in virtual form. In particular, we want to develop and maintain an
up-to-date directory of research in the field, which could be a resource for
fellow researchers, students and other interested parties. It could also be
a valuable source of information for journalists seeking an informed
response to perennial concerns about children and media. We will publish
this directory on the website, which will in future be hosted by the
web-site at the Centre for the Study of Children, Youth and Media at the
Institute of Education.
We are now seeking contributions from all active researchers in the field.
We'd be grateful if you could take a little time to give us information on
your most recent work in this field, using the following headings:
- Name and full contact address, telephone number
- Email and web-site addresses
- One line title of current or research completed in last two years
- Summary of research - no more than 50 words
- Up to 5 key words.
