I've been lurking with impatience reading all your 'other' stuff and very
much agree with Peter Q when he says:
I don't know what to do about or with the Coopers of this world. It just
won't do, it isn't enough, to say with Geraldine that it's "stupid" (no
matter how strongly I agree with her) There's a politics behind that
judgment, and we need to unpack it, perhaps -- WHY is it "stupid"? Well,
personally, I don't want, as I said, to go through Cooper line by line, but
some of the answers are perhaps available from doing just that. But what an
effort! and for what? I'd rather look closely at some poems, in say Agenda
or some other taste-making rag, and figure out what it is that so offends
me in what makes them tick (or fail to tick).
The 'politics behind that judgement' won't get unpacked by the attitude of
David Kennedy.
