Having tapped out that mail, tried to be even-headed etc I see that too
much is sacrificed by accession to the constant demand for answers: instead,
some questions. I've scrawled a review of Chris Emery's book _The Cutting
Room_, which may appear soon published, somewhere or other, but anyone who
would like to see what kinds of issue can be shaped out of that doxic
play-doh is welcome to have a copy -- I can forward it as an
attachment. The principal question addressed is the possibility of
abstraction as a quality of the physical body, and the bearing of this on
the concept of unity in Phenomenology and on pseudo-Marxist theories of
abstraction in language-use.
