I'm enjoying very much the ideas that are bobbing around my question about
dedications - neither 'ideas' nor 'bobbing' is intended to be perjorative
there - and I'll certainly add my subpennorth shortly.
In the meantime I'm struggling a bit with:
>>>'cognition destroys accidents'
*Completely* understand that you boys may not want to help me unpick it right
now, but someone else close to the duckpond might, possibly.
I can see there being something here about reconciliation or rehabilitation
(and all concomitant ego-salve points west); but 'destroys' would seem to me
to write in a destruction also of the *possibility* of accidents - which is
why Robin's suggestion that cognition may also be susceptible to
non-intentional suasions seems a strange bedfellow.
Or have I got the flute stuck up my nose again?
