I wouldn't call Andrew Motion a bastard -- perhaps the institution --like
the Crown --is at fault --but don't attack the person. He is very human, he
suffered from cancer of the back etc. etc. As for his preferred
transportation. He seems to like going by train everywhere.
the car was a Datsun (Nissan) stanza. I had one. Easiest car to drive in the
world. But prehistoric compared to the cars they have in this country. I was
at the Hitachi plant the other day and saw the latest car navigating
equipment --you will be able to write to this list, and use internet, watch
television, listen to the radio, watch a movie, play a cd, and see a map of
where you are going --of course you might crash with all that going on.
