I should just say that I came across Henry Corbin in Kathleen Raine's
Temenos, and have always wanted to read more of him. Being fascinated
by the Sufis, although I think I have pretty well worked that one out
now. But not having a decent library around I wont be able to order
the books.
And I should expand a little on his Teheran colleague Peter Russell's
Quintilius. Peter invented this ancient poet and writes marvellously
in his voice. There is a book The Elegies of Quintilius which I think
Peter Jay published at Anvil. THese do not contain all Quintilius.
Peter nowadays is writing fragments really. He based one in Canada
when he was visiting at Vancouver but it is the weakest I have seen.
His other work is not up to the same class in my humble opinion.
But do read Quintilius. (Peter Russell's Selected POems is, I think,
All for the wolves from Anvil.)
