You cannot have scientific proof for something that lies outside science.
But if one were to look at the physiologies of various animals, one could
say for sure that the perception of phenomena is different. Even where there
is evolutionary convergence as in the the case of the eyes of certain
molluscs (squid, octopi etc) and vertebrates the actual perception would be
very different due to differences in the brain. And of course cephalopoda
swim in the sea, move backwards, have a different scale of measuring
phenomena. Their physical laws, assuming that they developed to a stage that
they could construct physical laws, would be very different from own, there
would be little convergence and agreement. But we could not possibly
translate them.
Our universe starts with ourselves, we are the measurement of
everything. We could also look at the cultural differences in oriental and
occidental science, and there are many. Cultural bias is evident in all the
sciences, but more so in the social sciences. In anthropology, the tribe of
Zuni were often the subject of studies by Americans -- and when a Chinese
anthropologist in the 1930's visited the Zuni, he saw how important the
observer's cultural background was in the interpretation. The Americans and
Chinese working with the same material came up with different results. The
laws of physics are cultural products as well. The amount of value we place
on "objectivity" is culturally dependent. Perhaps it is a superior form of
mythologising. I would however say that there are many different ways of
looking at the world, and that poetry is one of these ways -- it provides us
with another map, and poets are cartographers that often dispense with the
compass and divider, they map out another dimension.
