John,
I am supposed to be organising a special issue of Phil Trans A (maths
and physcial scis) on Biomimetics. I think I asked you initially if you
could contribute and you said no.
Since then several people having said yes they could definately
contribute some original research work filling the criteria etc have now
since back tracked. Bloody typical eh ?
Could I not tempt you into writing a bit about hard biological materials
? Paul Calvert is wirting something on calcification but no one else is
writing about hard tissues.
[Articles have to be new unpublished research (not reviews, though of
course they have to set their own scene...), and include consideration
not only of the biological material/structure/system in question but
also of its performance benefits over current analogues, manufacturing
issues (even if they are fairly negative), and potential applications.
Bearing in mind the audience of Physical Scientists and Engineers
arguments should be as analytical and rigorous as possible]
When is your new book coming out ?
Hope you are keeping well and look forward ot seeing you soon,
Chris
