Dear all,
I've decided to travel to the Jimmy McBride's singing weekend in comfort
this year, using the Liverpool - Belfast ferry.
This has a minimum booking of two people with a car, so there is a spare
berth going. If anyone is interested in going with me, please e-mail me
directly and we can arrange meeting / pickup details.
Outward trip is overnight 23rd March (cabin with 2 berths, evening meal and
breakfast)
Return trip is overnight 27th of March (ditto)
Accommodation is prearranged by one of the local hotels and is usually B&B,
so they need to know who is coming.
The reason for stopping over on Monday is that there is usually a good
singing session including some of the singers who have to travel a fair
distance.
Tom Munelly runs a similar weekend in early June in Enistymon, Co. Clare.
I've not firmed up travelling arrangements on this, but the ferry into Cork
looks the most likely option. You don't need to book a cabin on this ferry,
and meals are optional, but booking a cabin is advisable. As far as I'm
aware, taking four people with a car is as cheap as taking one. If anyone is
interested in going on this trip please e-mail me as well. Accommodation is
more informal with this weekend, you turn up and find your own.
Best Regards,
Jim.
