ROYAL SCOTTISH ACADEMY OF MUSIC AND DRAMA

Due to exciting new developments at the RSAMD in networked sound resources
for Scottish music under funding from the JISC and the Scottish Higher
Education Funding Council, opportunities have arisen for the following 4
posts.

PROJECT OFFICER, RESOURCES AND DIGITISATION
3 years fixed term full-time post. Salary £20-26,000 per annum.
The mainstay of the Academy's project for networking Scottish music sound
materials under the JISC's DNER scheme, the post will include research,
implementation and evaluation of technical solutions (digitisation, storage,
delivery, metadata), practical work with students and teachers, and
day-to-day running of the project.

PROJECT OFFICER, LEARNING AND TEACHING
3 years fixed term 0.4 FTE post. Salary £8,000-£10,400 per annum (£20-26,000
full-time rate)
The postholder will take responsibility for introducing digital resources
across the BA Scottish Music curriculum, evaluate the results and play a
major role in dissemination.

SCOTTISH MUSIC PERFORMANCE RESOURCE CENTRE CONSULTANT
1 year fixed term post, on a freelance, fee-paid basis or secondment
A specialist with professional expertise in traditional music, archiving and
digital resource provision to develop the strategic plan for the Scottish
Music Performance Resource Centre and formulate policy on such areas as
research uses, access, acquisitions, technical standards, metadata and
collection description, digital preservation, intellectual property and
copyright and funding.

ARCHIVES CONSULTANT
4 months fixed term post or secondment
A qualified and experienced archivist to investigate and report on the RSAMD
's own institutional archives, and to formulate a strategy for management of
new collections.
