Hi Gerry
Well I don't think that I am going to have enough takers to my dear old workshop,so there we go. If it doesn't run, I'll try and run it at a later date and change the name to something a
bit more catchy!
Congratulations! Do you still have the subject term meetings? I think that it was the only part of cataloguing that I ever enjoyed, as it was soo surreal. I visited Ibiza a couple of
years back with Clare Johnson and we met and lunched with Martin, who is just the same!
It would seem I know fewer and fewer folk at the NAL these days. Is Amanda still there? I had intended to come to the members day, but I had to have another day as leave that week so was
not allowed. Perhaps the next one.
Richard retired from work about 18 months ago, we had two years of about 6 ops so it was all a bit much. He had another just before Christmas and one shortly after, and we're finally
finding our feet. He's much happier now that he is at home, and sleeps a lot. (~Bit like having a large hairy cat that talks ....)
Bessie is fine, and has started school, and now knows that I am an old mummy, and tolerates my lack of knowledge in the important things in life (Barbie, Pokemon). It's a bit sad that we
only have the one, but financially (and physically) two would tip the balance, which on one salary is faily tight. However, we are all crackers - so that's grand.
When is Jan retiring? Will there be a big shindig? Have you seen Jane since she left? I expect it's a very big culture shock, it was for me and I was only a minion.
Have you heard from Rosie at all?
Back on the desk now, keep in touch,
lizx
