Dear all
This is a plea for help.
Before I came to the Society of Genealogists, they agreed to give a
home to approximately 1,000 volumes of membership records for a
trade union . They date from the 19th century to the twentieth, and
are being deaccessioned by a library that no longer has the space
or resources to retain them. These items have never been available
to the pubic and are very bulky volumes.
Anyway, now that I am here, I have been given this fabulous project
to manage, and wonder if anyone can help with advice/offers of a
permanent home/spare aircraft hangers/info on cheap storage
places....... The storage would not be permanent (except if you
want it to be) - I just need a (fairly large) breathing space while
appraisal/sorting/etc is carried out.
Any help gratefully received.
