We are looking to appoint to the following position on a six month contract.
Information Assistant (Museum and Archives) (Ref CL/157)
Duration: 6 month contract (Maternity Cover) commencing 15 January 2001.
Salary : £14,500 pa pro rata
Annual Leave: 14 days leave for the full duration of the contract
Location: 9 Grosvenor Crescent, London SW1X 7EJ
Office Hours: 9:30am to 5:30pm
As part of the Information Services team, the Information Assistant will help
in the organisation and care of the Society’s museum and archive collections
and assist in the use of the material as an effective information resource.
Responsibilities will include researching and answering enquiries and
supervising internal and external users.
The successful candidate must have previous experience of working in an
information environment, have GCSE maths and English (or equivalent), be
computer literate, organised, flexible and have good team and communication
skills. The successful candidate will also possess a genuine interest in
modern history.
