The _official_ Scottish records (those of the Northern Lighthouse Board, as
opposed to the Stevensons' personal records) are in the National Archives of
Scotland. Taken with the records in NLS (which I think have more on the
engineering side) the archive should be fairly complete.
I seem to remember that lighthouse plans are seperately deposited, possibly
with the National Monuments Record in Edinburgh - can anyone confirm this?

The archive of the Stevenson firm of civil engineers in the National Library
of
Scotland includes a good deal of material on lighthouses.
