The London region should do what the North West Region does to welcome new
entrants to the profession by holding a wine and snacks bash at the
beginning of each academic year at Liverpool University. It gets veryu noisy
and the members and the new students seem to enjoy it. Some of the students
even attend our regional meetings, which is a good thing, because they will
learn at an early stage what I've just discovbered. Young fogey archivists
have no sense of adventure and no sense of humour. Sad, isn't it.
