We are currently having a large collection of architects' drawings
microfilmed. These are being done on 35mm film, but once completed will
be jacketed. Because of the size of the microfilmed images, we need to
buy a reader with a 12X lens and a screen measuring approximately
51x33cm, capable of taking jacketed microfilm. We have contacted quite
a lot of companies about this and so far have received the following
recommendations:
Bristol Microfilming and Imaging services (BMI) - the EC6000 microfilm
reader
Bell and Howell - the EDR100 Reader
Graphic Data - the Anacomp 798 Engineering Reader
Covergold - the Indus 456D Reader
Imtec - the Imtec 2001 Microfilm Reader
If anyone has any experience of any of these machines which they could
share with us, we would be very grateful. Similarly, recommendations
for machines not listed would be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Maria Sienkiewicz
