Sentiments with which I agree entirely, and which touch upon something I
know the London Region exec have been discussing recently. Even in a city
with good transport links and a large contingent of members we are lucky if
there are 20-30 folk at a meeting.
What DO people want from regional meetings? It seems to be that they are
increasingly lack lustre affairs and that any real discussion goes on in the
boozer afterwards, or on email among mates. Should programmes be
deliberately more provocative in their content? Are other 'young' oiks, like
myself, too afraid of looking daft to speak up? Do they know enough about
what is going on in terms of The Bigger Picture? Does anyone really care?
