We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional with experience in
modern records and records management to join the management team at
Warwickshire County Record Office.
The initial thrust of the post will be to take on responsibility for developing,
implementing and managing a corporate records management scheme for the
authority. You will also lead on modern records issues within the County Record
Office itself, acting as team leader in respect of delivery of Records
Management and modern records services, and devising a strategy for management
of electronic records.
The record office hopes to embark on a number of key initiatives over the next
two years, and there will be an opportunity for the Senior Archivist (Modern
Records) to play a key role in a variety of high profile projects, ranging from
the full-scale refurbishment and extension of the record office site to the
implementation of a computerised archival management system.
This is an exciting and challenging post which would suit someone who is keen to
make their mark by successfully managing a high-profile project. You will have
a post-graduate qualification in archives and / or Records Management, or
equivalent operational and managerial experience of the full range of Records
Management activities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the
ability to work well under pressure are essential.
You will be responsible to the Principal Archives Officer, and will be a member
of the County Record Office Management Team.

Temporary Archives Assistant/Receptionist
(Hours between 33.25 and 37 per week)
County Record Office, Warwick

Scale 1/2: £8,886 - £11,970 per annum (pro rata if applicable)
This post is one of several which make up the Record Office?s Public Service
team which is responsible for ensuring a high standard of service to Record
Office users. The successful candidate will work principally as document
production assistant and receptionist, but there will be an opportunity to
experience the broader range of activities associated with a busy County Record
Office. Good communication skills and commitment to delivering a high quality
public service are essential.
The post would suit a graduate wishing to gain relevant work experience prior to
taking a post-graduate qualification in Archive Administration.
There is a degree of flexibility around the hours to be worked, up to a maximum
of 37 per week. Applicants who are shortlisted will have an opportunity to
discuss this at interview, but it is anticipated that the successful applicant
will work from 9 - 12.45 on Saturdays (enhanced pay) in addition to weekdays.
