News for SCAN Newsletter
. Alan Bothwick showed the new model of ISAD(G) elements being used
by the TLFA team, revised following the recent receipt of the new edition
of ISAD(G), which should shortly be published as well as being
presented formally to the International Council on Archives International
Congress in Seville in September. Most of the revisions are minor, but
nevertheless this is an important document for the TLFA Project, and
TLFA staff will have to make some minor modifications to the layout of
their material. One of the most useful aspects of the revised ISAD(G) is a
long appendix of practical examples (not regarded as prescriptive, but
illustrative). If anyone would like to be e-mailed a copy of the revised
ISAD(G), then please contact Alan at the address at the end of this
newsletter. The revised edition is a large document, and it is not
possible for us to provide printed copies as it runs to over 100 pages
when printed off.
