Temporary Archives Assistant
This post has for more than 10 years successsfully provided work
experience for history postgraduates wishing to apply for a postgraduate
archive course. This one year contract from 1 September 2000 offers
practical experience of archive work, including work in the busy public
searchrooms, retrieving documents from the strongrooms and constructing
archive finding aids. Applicants should have excellent communication and
organisational skills and the ability to fit into a small team. In
addition they require, or should be expected to gain, 2:1 or above in
history or a related discipline. The salary offered is 9326 per annum.
