Dear all
I received the following message from a colleague:
A Michael Mallet in the UK is looking for a collecting institution that
would be interested in a publication he used to run called 'Wool Chart'.
Apparently this was a mover and shaker decades ago in the Bradford
and European wool trade. He has bound copies in his loft from 1945-- 65 ?
and
was wondering if a museum (?) would be interested. Apparently he is
clearing out and they will go in a skip if there is no interest.
Does anyone know of a Library, archive or other that would be interested in
this publication especially if it supplements other wool material (no pun
intended)? I have sought further information about the content and
quantity, but was concerned about the statement that it could end up in the
tip. Someone may know if copies have been deposited somewhere already.
There may even be gaps in the series that can be filled.
If you know of anyone who may be able to assist, could you send me their
email and then Michael can
contact and deal directly to see if there is any mutual interest.
Regards
Lyndon
