We are considering the implementation of a Readers Ticket System for the
archives public search room. Has anybody recently implemented such a system and
if so, how was the system put in place and how does it operate? For example,
what type of identification are readers asked for and what type of questions are
asked of them upon application. Have there been any major problems with its
implementation and what are the main perceived benefits? Any other
observations/thoughts/comments would be much appreciated. I would be
particularly interested in hearing from institutions that aren't part of CARN.
